Project Description
Large one bedroom apartment in the heart of the Marais near the Pompidou Center. This property was restored while preserving the original details from the early 19th century, including wooden beams, tomette floors and exposed stone. The French client with an international flair, wanted to bring in more natural light and modern conveniences while maintaining the historic details. We added a skylight in the kitchen, painted the beams in light grey, created ambient lighting and used a warm color palette. The result was an open, light and beautiful mix of period and classic details with a modernist vision.
